A New Year's Gift to Your Museum's Living History Interpreters

We use and hear the word “smart” a lot these days. Smart shopping makes good sense in today’s economy, as we try daily to make wise choices for our families and businesses. Smart phones, smart apps, and smart cars enhance our lives, while every announcement of even more intelligent uses of technology amazes us.

Your gift of $35 or more will especially help bring history to life in our community!

To donate by mail (check payable to Historic Spanish Point) PO Box 846, Osprey, FL 34229

Given our focus on today’s challenges and tomorrow’s inventions, is it smart to spend time reflecting on the past? Not surprisingly, my answer is “yes.” At Historic Spanish Point, I’ve seen how tales of the Webb family or Mrs. Potter Palmer have helped residents of our community understand how it came to be. Stories of pioneer and Palmer successes and failures entertain our visitors and make locals and tourists alike think about their own roots.

Costumed “living history” interpreters who cleverly stay in character at Historic Spanish Point as Bertha Palmer, John Webb, Lizzie and Frank Guptill, and other intrepid settlers can provide you and your guests with a uniquely educational and entertaining look at our past.

With your important contribution to the 2011-2012 Annual Fund,

your museum will present these historians once again!

They’ll engage you and your guests in lively conversations —

and smartly bring history to life.

Will you help by contributing today to the Annual Fund?

According to a recent research study by The Philanthropic Collaborative,

every dollar invested in non-profits results in more than $8.00 in direct social

and economic benefit to communities.

Your support of Historic Spanish Point is a smart investment!

So please, give now so you and your family can engage in meaningful and delightful conversations about our past at our community’s unique historical resource. As a result, you will experience a more interesting museum and learn more about our rich local heritage each time you visit.

With sincere thanks,

Linda W. Mansperger
