Youth
Day Camps
We have finished another great season
of Summer Adventure Camps here at Historic Spanish
Point on July 29! Thank you to all of the children,
parents, counselors, and volunteers who helped make
camp a fun, safe, and experience filled time! Some
of the discoveries made this summer include finding
many different species of insects! One camper
exclaimed over seeing “12 different kinds!” in one
day. We think bugs are cool too!
Many of our summer campers got to try activities
that they have never done before! Our Pioneer
campers made food like hard tack and trail mix that
they then took on a “hike” around our 30 acre site
followed by pioneer crafts and theater explorations!
Our summer fishing camp record holder caught 14 fish
in one day! Large Red Fish and Sea Trout were also
caught throughout the summer. And paddle boarding
was a new adventure for many campers.
Most importantly, friends were made! Our campers
that were in from out of town exchanged email and
phone numbers with each other to keep in touch. The
summer camp staff has many fond memories of laughter
and fun all summer long and we look forward to next
year. Please enjoy the photo recap of our summer and
remember Historic Spanish Point Summer Adventure
Camps and sign your child up for a truly fun old
fashioned summer experience!
